Description of Works
IT Services will be upgrading our core firewall. During the maintenance window we will need to restart the firewall, When this happens there will be a complete Internet outage and loss of all services. The outage will result in an estimated loss of service of 10-15 minutes.
The restart is planned between 7.00 and 07.30am this Sunday morning 19/10/2025
Services Unaffected
Themis, Zoom, and Microsoft Office online are all hosted in the cloud and will not be affected by these works.
Services Affected
This outage will affect most other services including the services below which will be unavailable during the maintenance window.
• Internet access (Only on South Circular Road campus)
• Griffith.ie
• VPN Access
• Moodle / Videos of Recorded Classes
• MyGriffith
• Directory
• Knuth (Computing Science)
• Editshare (Create Arts & Screen Media)
• Printing
• On campus Wi-Fi
• Student & Staff network drives
